Iranian government allocates € 844 million to support autoparts manufacturers

About $176 billion were allocated for domestic production of car parts, which have saved about €85 million, Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade Seyed Reza Mofidi said, Trend reports citing ILNA.

“Contracts for domestic production of 35 types of parts were signed with 32 part manufacturers. Seven types were produced by August 11, and around € 844 million were allocated to support the supply chain of the parts manufacturers,” he noted.

“According to the Ministry of Industry's plans, 1.2 million vehicles of various types will be produced in the current Iranian year [started on March 21, 2019],” he added.

He went to say: “By August 10, about 310,000 cars were produced. Last year, we were able to produce about 950,000 cars.”

"We have seven wagon manufacturer units in the country that have to operate at a higher capacity,” added Mofidi.
