The industrial producer price index of Georgia increased in July 2019 by 3.2 percent compared to the previous month and by 10.7 percent compared to the same month of 2018, Trend reports referring to the Georgian National Statistics Office (Geostat).
According to data, in July, the growth in prices for the manufacturing industry amounted to 2 percent compared to the previous month.
Prices for food, drinks and tobacco products increased by 12.1 percent, prices for basic metals and finished metal products increased by 16.1 percent, and prices for pulp and paper products increased by 35.5 percent.
The price of mining products increased by 19.3 percent, reflecting a change in the general index by 1.25 percentage points.
Prices for electricity, gas and hot water fell by 1.4 percent, which affected the annual index of the general index by -0.13 percentage points.
