Domestic Producer Price Index for Industrial Products increases by 2.8% in Georgia

In July 2019, the Domestic Producer Price Index for Industrial Products (DPPI) increased by 2.8 percent in Georgia compared to June 2019, Trend reports referring to Georgian National Statistics Office (Geostat).

In the reported period, the prices for manufactured products increased by 1.8 percent and for electrical energy, gas, steam and hot water by 9.1 percent. Compared to July 2018, DPPI increased by 8.9 percent. The prices for products from mining and quarrying grew up by 11.3 and 6.7 percent, respectively. Meanwhile, the prices for electrical energy, gas, steam and hot water decreased by 1.4 percent.

In June 2019, the DPPI in Georgia increased by 0.7 percent compared to May 2019, while the prices were by 0.6 percent higher for manufactured products.

The DPPI increased by 5.5 percent in June 2019 compared to June 2018. The prices for manufactured products and for products from mining and quarrying went up by 8.6 and 5.1 percent, respectively. Meanwhile, the prices for electrical energy, gas, steam and hot water decreased by 8.6 percent.
