Major Kazakh companies sign agreements with local manufacturers

Long term offtake agreements between Kazzinc LLP and a number of local manufacturers of Kazakhstan’s Karaganda region were signed, Trend reports with reference to the press office of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurship Atameken.

The signing took place during the round table held by the Karaganda region’s Chamber together with Qazindustry Qazaqstan Industry and Export Center JSC. The round table was held for major systemically important ventures and subsoil users, local manufacturers and exporters in order to support the signing of long term agreements and the development of manufacturing of prospective and competitive products.

Within the framework of the meeting Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of QazIndustry Turar Zholmagambetov talked the launch of joint project of QazIndustry and the World Bank, i.e. the service for suppliers development.

“The functions of the service will include the expansion of market relation of small and medium business with major local and international corporations, which are implementing activities in Kazakhstan. As a result the service will largely contribute to increase of small and medium ventures opportunities in provision of goods and services. The program will first and foremost the implemented among ventures in gas, oil, metallurgy and mining industries,” Zholmagambetov said.

During the round table the parties discussed relevant issues which arise for subsoil users and systemically important ventures when participating in procurement of goods, services and work.

Furthermore, during the round table a number of offtake agreements worth over three billion tenge was signed between Kazzinc LLP and six local manufacturers, including Uglemekhanizaciya company, Vira-MaynaKazakhstan company, Profland company, Leotek KZ company, GZP Atlant company and AlbaStroyDor company.

Kazakhmys Corporation and two local manufacturers Inkar-1 company and Kaztekhnoresur company also signed a memorandum for cooperation.
