The highest increase of auto industry manufacturing among countries of Eurasian Economic Union is observed in Kazakhstan, Minister in charge of Industry and Agriculture of the Eurasian Economic Commission Alexander Subbotin, Trend reports with reference to Kazakh media.
"We currently have some 19 agreements in area of auto industry development. As a result, these projects have led to the increase of trade turnover by over 40 percent. The joint manufacturing of combine harvesters, tractors, trucks, passenger cars and even gas-turbine engines has been established in the country. Cooperative supplies in manufacturing of vehicles and equipment increased by 15 percent, whereas in manufacturing of electric equipment it went up by 10 percent," Subbotin said.
In turn, Chairman of Industrial Development and Industrial Safety Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructural Development of Kazakhstan Kanat Baitov noted that the implementation of utilizing tax has allowed to decrease the inflow of old and environmentally unsafe cars to Kazakhstan.
"As a result, the number of new cars, which are less than three years old has increased by 27 percent since year 2015 and amounted to 416,000 vehicles," he said.
Furthermore, according to Baitov, to date, over 88,000 vehicles have been utilized in Kazakhstan.
