Azerbaijan's Sheki winery will start exporting wine to the Chinese market, Director of the winery Vidadi Hasanov told Trend.

He noted that two varieties of wines will be exported.

"The biggest volume of exports will account for white and red wines. The deliveries will begin in early October this year. Primary exports to China will amount to 18,000 bottles. We plan to ship only one truck. The subsequent deliveries will be much bigger," he said.

He noted that the company plans to increase its grape processing capacity up to 7,000 tons per year.

"The company is able to process 3,000 tons of grapes per year, while last year this figure was 730 tons. Last year, 500,000 liters of wine were produced, and by the end of this year we plan to bring these volumes to 600-650,000 liters. Next year, these figures may grow to 700,000 liters and above," Hasanov said.

The Sheki winery was founded in 2006 with a designed annual production capacity of 210,000 decalitres, that is, 280,000 bottles of wine per year.

The winery has been provided with equipment of the Italian company "Della Toffola".

There are wine packaging and weighing facilities, an office building, a pump room, as well as rooms for various technological equipment on the territory of the winery.

Two bunkers for receiving white and red grape varieties are installed at the enterprise. There are also two lines for the production of white and red wine and a special line for the production of elite types of wine.
