Iran exports products worth $82M from Aran and Bidgol County

Goods worth $82.1 million were exported from Aran and Bidgol County of Iran’s Isfahan Province over 6 months (March 21 - September 22) of the current Iranian year (started March 21, 2019), Head of Aran and Bidgol Industry, Mine and Trade Organization Mojtaba Mahlouji told IRNA, Trend reports.

According to him, 90 percent of the products exported in 6 months consisted of fittings, 8 percent of factory carpets, and 2 percent of other products of the carpet industry.

Most of these products were exported to Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Iraq, Pakistan, Qatar and the UAE.

"There are 700 factory carpet weaving shops in Aran and Bidgol County," he said.

Mahlouji said that more than 50 percent of factory carpets woven in Iran are made in Aran and Bidgol County.

Products worth $125.7 million in total were exported from Aran and Bidgol County during the previous Iranian year (March 21, 2018 - March 21, 2019).
