Azerbaijan’s foreign trade turnover totaled $25.244 billion from January to September 2019, which is 13.8 percent more compared to the figure in the period from January to September 2018, Trend reports referring to the monthly report of the country’s State Customs Committee.
In the foreign trade turnover, exports amounted to $14.87 billion, which is 4.1 percent more compared to the same period last year. Nevertheless, the share of exports decreased by 5.6 percent to 58.8 percent of the volume of foreign trade turnover.
Imports to Azerbaijan from January to September amounted to $10.378 billion, having increased significantly by 31.3 percent compared to the same period last year.
The share of imports in the total turnover increased by 5.6 percent up to 41.2 percent of the total turnover.
The balance in foreign trade turnover decreased by 29.5 percent, but, nevertheless, remained positive and amounted to $4.488 billion.
