Azerbaijani company completes first stage of road construction project in Kyrgyzstan

The Azerbaijani construction company AzVirt has completed the first stage of project in Kyrgyzstan on reconstruction of the Bishkek-Osh road, a source in the company told Trend.

“A road with a total length of 67 kilometers will be reconctructed,” the source said. “The project is worth $41 million and is financed by the Eurasian Bank. The excavation work, as well as drainage work have been completed on certain sections of the road. Asphalt is planned to be laid till the end of October.”

“In accordance with the preliminary calculations, the project will be implemented by 2022,” the source added. “Presently, the company is implementing two more big road projects in Serbia and Ukraine.”

AzVirt company is one of the well-known contractors in Azerbaijan in the field of construction of roads, runways, airports.

Besides the design and construction of roads and big facilities, the company is also involved in production of building materials such as asphalt mixtures, fraction gravel, and activated mineral powder.
