BAKU, Azerbaijan, Nov. 4

By Matanat Nasibova – Trend:

The Azerbaijani-Chinese Elektrogas LLC, producing combi heating systems, has determined the timing for export and the export routes, Director of the company Elnur Jamilli told Trend on Nov. 4.

“The plant will begin to export the heating systems from January-February 2020,” the director said.

“The negotiations are underway with potential partners from Russia, Ukraine and Georgia,” Jamilli said. “Initially, 400 heating systems are planned to be exported to each of these three countries. We plan to supply the heating systems to the Central Asian countries in the future. We consider Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan as potential markets for our heating systems.”

The director stressed that the plant’s heating systems will be exported to the foreign markets under the Made in Azerbaijan brand.

"The plant produces six varieties of combi heating systems, three of which are envisaged for export,” Jamilli said. “The plant’s heating systems are sold domestically at an affordable price. The cost of one combi heating system is 450 manat ($264) with a 2-year warranty period.”

“Our heating systems are cheaper than those imported to Azerbaijan, for example, from China,” the director said. “The cost of the cheapest combi heating system imported from China is 550 manat ($323). At the same time, Azerbaijani heating systems are designed to be used even at the lowest gas pressure."

Local and Chinese investments worth two million manat (over $1.2 million) were made to establish the plant. The investment volumes are planned to be increased up to 11 million manat (over $6.4 million) in the future.

The company has been operating since April 2019.

Elektrogas plant is located in Baku’s Zabrat settlement.
