Electricity problem solved in industrial towns of Iran's East Azerbaijan province

Following the lack of electricity supply to the industrial towns of Iran's East Azerbaijan province, the authorities had to to take measures, spokesman of Iran’s Ministry of Energy Mostafa Rajabi Mashhadi said, Trend reports via IRNA.

"There were some problems regarding the electricity supply, but no problems are expected in the near future," he said.

“A meeting was held in the province, attended by the provincial governing body, the deputy governor of the province, as well as representatives of provincial electricity and distribution companies, where the issue was discussed, “ Mashhadi said.

On November 2, IRNA released a report on power shortages in the industrial towns of the East Azerbaijan province. The shortages resulted in closure of 32 production units in Shahid Salimi Indistrial town, among others.

“Although there was a need for funding from provincial sources, it was decided to take action on this matter sooner," Mashhadi said.

Rajabi Mashhadi added that decisions were made to supply electricity to the industrial towns of East Azerbaijan province, and specifically to industrial towns.
