Kazakhstan, Switzerland sign bilateral documents

Kazakhstan and Switzerland signed a number of joint documents following Kazakh-Swiss Round Table held in Nur-Sultan, Trend reports with reference to the press office of Kazakh Invest National Company JSC.

The event held in Nur-Sultan on the occasion of the official visit of the President of Switzerland - Federal Councillor Ueli Maurer to the country was attended by Maurer himself, Kazakhstan’s Minister of Trade and Integration, Co-Chairman of the Kazakh-Swiss Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation Bakhyt Sultanov and over 120 representatives of business of the two countries.

During the round table, the parties discussed the prospects for further expansion of trade, economic and investment cooperation between Kazakhstan and Switzerland.

As part of the dialogue platform, six documents were signed between the parties:

- Memorandum of cooperation “Development and implementation of a National hotel classification system in the Republic of Kazakhstan” between KAZAKH TOURISM and Swiss Choice Holding SA;

- Management and franchise agreement by AQBURA DEVELOPMENT and Swiss Choice Holding SA;

- Memorandum of cooperation “Traceability Labeling System” between Transtelecom (Kazakhstan) and SICPA (Switzerland);

- Memorandum of Understanding between the Astana International Finance Corporations (AIFC) and the BLACKFORT Company (Switzerland);

- Memorandum of Understanding between the AIFC and CLARUS CAPITAL (Switzerland); and

- Memorandum of Understanding between the AIFC and HERCULIS (Switzerland).
