A major metal processing facility in Azerbaijan - the Khirdalan Steel Construction Plant, owned by Azerbaijan’s Akkord Industry Construction Investment Corporation OJSC, will launch a new production line in the beginning of next year, a source at the plant told Trend.
This includes the launch of lathes designed for welding and grinding metal blanks, according to the source.
“The annual production of the plant is 3,600 tons of metal,” the source noted. “Meanwhile, the launch of the new line will increase the production capacity of the plant several times.”
The source also noted that metal parts for cement plants are being produced at the metal processing plant.
“In addition, several types of induction furnaces with capacity of 1,000 and 2,000 kilograms, cold rolling machines, heat treatment furnaces and other auxiliary tools for metal casting are installed at the plant,” the source said, adding that the furnaces provided for heat treatment make it possible to manufacture metal parts at high temperatures - up to 1,150 ºC.
Akkord Industry Construction Investment Corporation OJSC implements projects for the reconstruction of road infrastructure, water supply and sanitation systems in Azerbaijan and abroad.
In total, the number of employees of the company is about 5,000 people.
The main goal of the corporation is to participate in significant local and regional projects, expand the boundaries of activities outside Azerbaijan and develop as a transnational corporation, competitive at the global level.
The corporation aims to create favorable conditions for the implementation of major infrastructure, industrial and oil projects.
