The opening ceremony of Hayat Pharm pharmaceutical factory for the production of tablets, capsules and solutions in bottles was held in Baku on the territory of the Azerbaijani Pirallahi Industrial Park, Trend reports.

The new factory opened as part of the implementation of joint projects in accordance with the decisions of the Azerbaijan-Russia interstate government commission in the field of economic cooperation and partnership to improve the quality of life of the Azerbaijani population.

Azerbaijani Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev, Russian Minister of Economic Development Maksim Oreshkin, Azerbaijani Ambassador to Russia Polad Bulbuloglu and CEO of R-Farm company Alexey Repik attended the ceremony.

The construction of the factory is the continuation of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev’s economic policy on the development of the non-oil sector. The factory will also serve to strengthen bilateral ties between Azerbaijan and Russia and create new job places for highly qualified specialists.

Oreshkin stressed that the opening ceremony of the Hayat Pharm factory is the best example of the accomplishments of today's intergovernmental commission.

“The contribution of the project to the production is obvious; namely, it is more than 300 job places, high-quality products of the factory, high quality of life,” the Russian minister said. “What else can better characterize the work performed by senior officials of both countries today?"

“Today’s opening ceremony of the Hayat Pharm factory for the production of various medicines is 'Contract of the Century' for the company,” Repik said.

"We agreed not only on the site, but also on the opportunities of using Azerbaijan to enter the markets of third countries thanks to the Azerbaijani government’s comprehensive support,” CEO of R-Farm company added. “By opening the plant we focused on the introduction of high technologies to improve the quality of people's lives in line with President Aliyev’s policy."
