Goychay-Sud, a large dairy production enterprise located in Azerbaijan's Goychay district, produced dairy products worth over 205,000 manat ($120,588) in the first 10 months of 2019, a source in the company told Trend.
According to the source, over 160,000 manat ($94,117) of this amount accounted for the wholesale sale of dairy products, while the retail sales accounted to the rest.
"Every day, the company produces 700 tons of dairy products. According to the results of the first 10 months of 2019, over 120 tons of these products were cheeses. The dairy products of the enterprise are sold on the domestic market, and are not intended for exports. Currently, dairy production has increased due to the opening of a new cheese production line. At the same time, cheese production has increased by 30-40 percent, compared with last year. It is planned to increase this indicator to 60-70 percent," the source said.
According to the source, the greatest demand is for the Chanakh cheese.
"The production of Chanakh cheese is planned to be doubled. The opening of two production lines allows to increase the volume of cheese production. Therefore, it is planned to significantly increase this figure next year," the source said.
The company operates at full capacity and is equipped with modern equipment of Swedish and Italian production.
