Azerbaijan’s foreign trade increased by 7.7 percent from January through December 2019 compared to the same period of 2018, and amounted to $33.3 billion, Trend reports via monthly report of Azerbaijan’s State Customs Committee (SCC).
During this period, export of foreign trade increased by 0.9 percent, and amounted $19.6 billion, the state committee said.
Specific share of export dropped by almost four percentage points, and reached 59 percent of total volume, the committee said.
Import to Azerbaijan increased by 19.2 percent for 2019 compared to the preceding year, amounting to $13.6 billion, SCC said.
The specific share of import in total trade increased by 4 percentage points, and reached 41 percent of total volume, said in a SCC's report.
Positive balance of foreign trade dropped by 25.3 percent, but remained positive and amounted to $5.9 billion, said in a report.
