BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 11
By Matanat Nasibova – Trend:
Goycay-Sud plant, a producer of dairy products and fruit juices located in Azerbaijan’s Goychay district, is searching for new markets for export of fruit juices, a source in the plant told Trend.
“The plant did not export fruit juices abroad during the first two months of this year,” the source said.
"Pomegranate juice was not exported from January through February 2020 due to the lack of orders from our foreign partners,” the source said. “We exported this type of products worth $26,400 in early March. The products were supplied to New Zealand. The products are expected to be supplied at the end of this week to the same market. We received an order worth $26,000."
“Besides pomegranate juice, the plant also produces apple juice, which is sold domestically,” the source said. “It is unprofitable to export apple juices abroad because of the low price and low demand in the foreign markets. Pomegranate juice is in great demand.”
The plant operates at full capacity and has been provided with modern Swedish and Italian equipment.
The plant’s products have a certificate of conformity issued by the Azerbaijani State Committee on Standardization, Metrology and Patents.
