Azerbaijani factory increases export of finished clothes

BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 24

Azerbaijan’s Baku Textile Factory will greatly increase the export potential this year, a source in the Baku Textile Factory told Trend.

“The factory plans to conclude a contract for the export of textile products with partners from Europe,” the source said.

“The issue is the supply of women's, men's and children's clothes to Germany,” the source said. “The signing of the contract has been postponed, but the agreement remains valid. Initially, the factory planned to supply textile products worth 160,000 manat ($94,117).”

“We plan to begin to export the products in early summer,” the source said. “The Baku Textile Factory has exported the products worth almost 30 million manat ($17 million) to Germany up till now. The export of products to this market increased by 2.5 million manat ($1.5 million) in 2019.”

“Different types of women's, men's and children's clothes were supplied to Germany,” the source said. “Today, monthly volumes of women's clothing reach 32,000-35,000. The production volume will increase up to at least 40,000 per month after launching the new production line.”

Presently, 300 people work at the Baku Textile Factory and seven production lines are used.

The company has been operating since 1939. In fact, it was the first textile factory in the South Caucasus.

Currently, the factory continues to operate according to the principles of the European standards. The factory has been provided with the latest equipment and technologies from Germany and Japan. The experienced specialists are working there.

The factory produces everyday clothes, evening dresses, corporate clothing, children's clothes, sportswear, medical uniforms, as well as overalls, school uniforms and all types of workwear, including promo clothing and military uniforms.
