Daily production of steel ingots of the Khouzestan Steel Company of Khuzestan province in southwestern Iran has increased to 13,104 tons, said Mahmoud Lendi, deputy director of the company, Trend reports citing official website of the Khouzestan Steel Company.
According to Lendi, the record growth in production was set on April 2.
Lendi added that the increase in production will also increase the company's sales in local and international markets.
The daily production of Khouzestan Steel Company has set records several times in recent months. Thus, the production increased five times in four months.
According to the report of Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO), during the first 10 months of last Iranian year (from March 21, 2019 to January 20, 2020), Iran's crude steel production amounted to 22.8 million tons.
During this period, Iran exported 5.82 million tons of crude steel and 2.98 million tons of steel products.
