A big milk processing plant located in Azerbaijan’s Goychay district increased the production of dairy products by 10-15 percent from January through March 2020 compared to the same period of 2019, a source in Azerbaijan’s Goychay Sud plant told Trend.
“The plant produced dairy products worth 382,514 manat ($225,008) during the reporting period,” the source said. “At the same time, the plant processed 148 tons of milk from January through March 2020.”
“During the reporting period, milk worth 163,357 manat ($96,092) was sold on the domestic market,” the source said. “The medium-term plans of the plant include an increase in the production of dairy products and milk.”
“Presently, the plant produces one liter packs of milk,” the source said. “The plant previously produced milk in 250 gram packages. The products fully cover the demand in the domestic market and there are no unsold products in the plant's warehouses.”
The plant operates at full capacity and has been provided with modern Swedish and Italian equipment.
