Goychay Sud, a big milk processing plant in Azerbaijan, plans to increase production of milk and dairy products, a source in the enterprise told Trend.
According to the source, from January through April of this year, the plant increased the production of milk by 45 percent.
“The plant produces 750-800 tons of dairy products per month, and it is planned to increase this indicator by at least 15 percent," the source said. “It’s also planned to increase cheese production volumes after opening of an additional workshop for cheese processing. In the second half of this year, it’s envisioned to boost the monthly cheese output to 500-550 tons.”
The source added that in the second half of the year, production of milk in one-liter packages will grow by at least 15-20 percent.
The plant has been operating in the Goychay district of Azerbaijan for 20 years. It manufactures milk and dairy products, as well as fruit juices, which are mainly exported abroad. The dairy products of the plant are fully sold in the domestic market, in the Goychay district, as well as in Baku and Sumgayit cities.
