The temporary signing of a preferential trade contract between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Republic of Azerbaijan was allowed by the government of Iran, Trend reports citing Iran's Cabinet of Ministers’ website.
The details of the contract have not been disclosed.
The issue was reflected in a letter from Iran's First Vice President Eshaq Jahangiri to the Iranian Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade and Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“The Iranian Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs should take steps to discuss, initially sign and temporarily sign a preferential trade contract between the two countries,” letter said.
