Trend:

Vice president of Iranian Chamber of Commerce Hossein Salahvarzi said that in order to control the local car market, the level of car supply and reliance on knowledge-base companies must be increased.

"The country's economic situation and the decrease in oil revenues caused the devaluation of national currency, high rate of inflation and high prices of goods in recent years, which have created false demand in the auto market,” Salahvarzi said, Trend reports citing IRNA.

He went on to say inappropriate policies and unfulfilled promises caused the wrong image of the automotive industry among the people.

Salahvarzi announced that Saipa Group has started working with knowledge-based companies and startups to diversify and increase the quality of its products.

He pointed out that Saipa has taken good steps in designing and preparing new quality products.

"With the launch of new cars, the car supply in the country will be diversified, he said.

“But in order for such development to happen, the car industry must rely on knowledge-based companies."
