Iran announces volume of exports via Kurdistan Province

BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 23

The product export via the customs of the Kurdistan Province (western Iran) increased by 67 percent in terms of weight during the first three months of the current Iranian year (March 20-June 20, 2020) compared to the same period of the last Iranian year, an official of Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration’s (IRICA) branch in Kurdistan Province Bakhtiar Rahmanipour told IRNA, Trend reports.

The official stressed that during this period, 916,000 tons of products worth more than $357 million were exported through the customs of the province.

The official added that the product export via the customs of Kurdistan Province increased by 60 percent in terms of value.

"About 588,000 tons of exported products worth more than 216 million belonged to the production of Kurdistan Province," he said.

As many as 327,000 tons of products worth more than $141 million belonging to other provinces of Iran were exported via the customs of Kurdistan Province, according to Rahmanipour.

Rahmanipour said that 9,400 tons of products worth $9.22 million were imported through the customs of Iran's Kurdistan Province in three months.
