Azerbaijan’s large alcohol enterprise, Shaki Sharab LLC, is developing a new type of wine, Director of the winery Vidadi Hasanov told Trend.
The development process started in April, 2020, and two types of wine have already been developed - Burla and Husni Jahan brands, Hasanov said.
“The wines under the mentioned brands will be introduced into production soon. They are intended for domestic sales. During the current coronavirus-related quarantine regime, the winery is working on the basis of orders,” he said.
“Over the last two months, the enterprise received several orders for production of 200,000 bottles of wine. The orders for the wine products received from the local companies,” noted Hasanov.
The winery’s current production capacity is over 100,000 decaliters per year, and it’s planned to increase this indicator up to 130,000-140,000 decaliters, the director added.
Hasanov also added that in foreign markets the greatest demand is for wines of Bouquet Sheki and Askona brands, which are produced from Rkatsiteli, Saperavi, Madras, Muscat, Chardonnay and Merlot grape varieties.
The winery was founded in 2006 with a design production capacity of 210,000 decaliters, that’s 280,000 bottles of wine.
The facilities for packaging and weighing, an office building, a pump room, as well as premises for different technological equipment are located in the territory of the winery.
There are also two bunkers for receiving white and red grape varieties, two lines for the production of white and red wine and another line for the production of elite brands of wine.
