Industrial enterprises to be commissioned in Iran's Mazandaran Province

Three industrial enterprises worth 15.8 trillion rials (about $376 million) will be put into operation in Mazandaran (northern Iran) in the coming days, Chairman for the Industry, Mine and Trade Organization in Mazandaran province Hossseinghouli Qovanlu, Trend reports citing the organization’s website.

According to the chairman, 10 trillion rials (about $ 238 million) were spent on the establishment of Arian Shimi cellulose industry enterprise. About 400 people will be employed with the commissioning of the enterprise that is located in the Amirabad port.

Chairman added that in addition, two enterprises for the production of carpets and dry milk will be put into operation. More than 5.8 trillion rials (about $138 million) has been spent on the construction of these enterprises and 500 people will be employed.

Qovanlu stressed that in general, 24 large industrial enterprises are planned to be commissioned in Mazandaran Province with an investment of about 30 trillion rials (about $714 million) in the current Iranian year (March 20, 2020 to March 21, 2021). With the commissioning of these enterprises, more than 3,000 people will be employed.

"As many as 1,430 industrial enterprises have been licensed to commission with an investment of about 52 trillion rials (about $1.23 billion) over the past seven years (the current government in Iran has been in power since August 2013). As a result, about 28,000 people were employed," he said.
