Turkey's seven-month export of grain, legumes to int'l markets revealed

Turkey's exports of grain and legumes to world markets increased by 7.2 percent from January through July 2020, compared to the same period of 2019, having exceeded $4 billion, the Turkish Trade Ministry told Trend.

The ministry noted that export of grain and legumes made up 4.5 percent of the country's total exports during the mentioned period.

In July 2020, Turkey exported the grain and legumes to international markets in the amount of over $590.5 million, which is 8.1 percent more compared to July 2019, the ministry said.

Turkey’s export of grain and legumes in July 2020 accounted for 3.9 percent of the country's total exports.

Over the past 12 months (from July 2019 through July 2020), Turkey exported the grain and legumes worth over $7 billion.
