Iran discloses buy/sell operations at Iran Mercantile Exchange

As many as 464,519 tons of goods worth more than 49 trillion rials (about $1.16 billion) were sold at the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) in the last Iranian week (August 31-September 3), Trend reports citing the IME’s official website.

According to the report, 168,000 tons of goods worth 25.2 trillion rials (about $601 million) were sold in the industrial and mining products section.

"More than 151,000 tons of steel, 6,300 tons of aluminum, 4,730 tons of copper, 12 tons of precious metal concentrate, 120 tons of molybdenum sulfur, 320 tons of zinc ingots and 20 kg of gold bars were sold in this section," the report said.

At the same time, 293,000 tons of various oil and petrochemical products worth 24.2 trillion rials (about $576 million) were sold in the oil and petrochemical products section in the last week, the report added.

According to the report, 89,500 tons of vacuum bottom, 51,600 tons of bitumen, 79,900 tons of polymeric substances, 37,400 tons of chemicals, 22,000 tons of lube cut, 565 tons of moisture-resistant coatings, 1,450 tons of base oil, 200 tons of slaps wax, 120 tons of argon, 10,800 tons of sulfur were sold in this section.
