Belarus exported 100,000 tons of products to Azerbaijan via the Belarusian Railway during the first eight months of 2020, which is 7.4 percent more compared to the same period of 2019, Trend reports citing the Belarusian Railway company.
“The bulk of the exported Belarusian products is woodworking products. Building materials, oil and petrochemicals, chemicals, industrial raw materials, and molding materials, as well as food products, are also in the nomenclature of goods,” said the company.
The Belarusian Railways is interested in further interaction with business entities of Belarus and the development of export supplies of Belarusian products to foreign markets by rail, the company noted.
From January through August 2020, the export of Azerbaijani products to Belarus amounted to nearly $98.2 million, increasing sixfold over the year.
The volume of foreign trade operations between Azerbaijan and Belarus for the reporting 8 months amounted to $170.2 million, which is 29 percent more compared to the same period of last year.
