Georgia reveals volume of exported peaches and nectarines from May 1 to October 7

BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 7

Georgia exported 25 300 tons of peaches and nectarines in the total amount of $21,3 million from May 1 to October 7, Trend reports via the Ministry of the economy and sustainable development of Georgia.

This is 100 percent more than in the same period in 2019, the ministry of economic reports.

The largest importers are Russia (16,768 tons), followed by Azerbaijan (567 tons). The Georgian product is also exported to Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Poland, Moldova, Slovenia, Singapore, Qatar.

Uninterrupted export and storage of products are provided by 22 refrigeration facilities.

The government officials, phytosanitary service, and customs are actively involved in preparing the product for export.
