Volume of mining materials exported from Iran's Bushehr province announced

As many as 2,090 tons of mining materials worth $47 million were exported from the Bushehr Province (southern Iran) during the first six months of the current Iranian year (March 20-September 21, 2020), said Hossein Hosseini, Chairman of Industry, Mine, and Trade Organization of Bushehr Province, Trend reports citing the organization.

The chairman noted that the mining materials were mainly exported to the countries around the Persian Gulf.

Hosseini added that there 255 mines were licensed for operation in the province, but only 144 of them are operating.

“Gypsum, limestone, marl, and other materials are mainly extracted from these mines,” he said.

The chairman stressed that certain opportunities have been created to invest in various industrial sectors of the province, especially in the mining sector.

A total of 11.6 million tons of goods worth $2.24 billion were exported from Bushehr Province to various countries during the first six months of the current Iranian year.
