Azerbaijan's 9M2020 exports to Ukraine increases

The volume of foreign trade operations between Azerbaijan and Ukraine for 9M2020 amounted to $590.2 million, which is $33.04 million less than in the same period last year, Trend reports citing the statistical bulletin of the State Customs Committee (SCC) of Azerbaijan.

According to the ministry, imports of Ukrainian products to Azerbaijan on an annualized basis decreased from $342.96 million to $309.75 million. The share of Ukraine in the total import of Azerbaijan amounted to 3.96 percent of the total volume, against 3.3 percent in the same period last year.

At the same time, exports from Azerbaijan to Ukraine for the nine months of this year amounted to $280.5 million, while a year earlier this figure was $280.3 million. The share of Ukraine in the total export of Azerbaijan increased from 1.89 to 2.65 percent.

The balance of foreign trade turnover of Azerbaijan with Ukraine for the reporting period remained negative, amounting to $29.3 million.

In general, Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover for 9M2020 amounted to $18.4 billion, which is 27.1 percent less than in 2019.

The balance of foreign trade turnover on an annualized basis decreased by 38.6 percent, nevertheless, it remained positive, amounting to $2.756 billion.
