Iran to implement integrated electronic government

TEHRAN, Iran, Nov.2

Trend:

National internet exchange point would develop the integration of data and services that are needed for implementation of electronic government, said the managing director of the project.

"The implementation of electronic government needs integration of data between all organizations to provide services and connection to the national information network," Majid Fouladian, Trend reports citing IRNA.

"The statistics show the launch of Government Service Bus (GSB) would lead to 1 billion transactions per year between organizations that would have an important role in protecting people's private data. The government's organizations should provide all their data to applicants by using National internet exchange points to accelerate businesses and easier services" he added.

He went on to say that national internet exchange point is responsible for the integration of services electronically by creating two national projects, Government Service Bus (GSB) that is an efficient data exchange platform based on national information network and the Public Government Service Bus (PGSB) for providing services to the public and private sector.

"The two-section formed separately that one would be installed on the special network in National internet exchange point and the other one would be online for providing services between government and people. The PGSB would provide government services to the people and businesses as well as register individual's data including identification code, phone number, and protecting their privacy," he noted.

According to Fouladian, there are currently 901 electronic services trading data of government organizations at the national internet exchange point.
