Georgia becomes most popular exporter of Uzbek beans

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Nov. 27

Some 29 percent of the total volume of beans were exported to Georgia from January through October 2020, Trend reports referring to the State Customs Committee of Uzbekistan.

More than 7,669 tons of beans in the amount of $8.55 million have been registered in the export customs regime in Uzbekistan over the past ten months.

A little fewer share of beans was exported to Kyrgyzstan, amounting to 23 percent. At the same time, the share of beans export to Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan amounted to nine percent each.

In addition, the export of beans to Romania for 10M2020 increased by 3.8 times and to Latvia - by 2.5 times, the press service of the State Customs Committee reports.

This year, Uzbekistan first began exporting beans to Belgium, Hungary, and Australia.

Earlier it was reported that Uzbekistan received a phytosanitary permit for the export of the supply of radish to the European Union, Japan, and South Korea. And markets in China, Japan, India, Myanmar, and Ghana got permission for the export of Uzbek melons.

In addition, pistachios from Uzbekistan can be supplied to the markets of India, the Philippines, Japan, Bangladesh, Iran, Morocco, Pakistan, and Jordan.
