Azerbaijan sees year-on-year decline in imports from Israel

Imports of Israeli products to Azerbaijan decreased over the first 10 months of 2020 from $39.4 million to $22.8 million on an annual basis, Trend reports citing the statistical bulletin of the State Customs Committee (SCC) of Azerbaijan.

According to the SCC, Israel's share in Azerbaijan's total imports during the reporting period amounted to 0.26 percent, while a year earlier - 0.34 percent.

At the same time, exports from Azerbaijan to Israel for 10M2020 amounted to $410.9 million, while a year earlier - $1.15 billion. Thus, Israel's share in total exports of Azerbaijan dropped from 6.87 to 3.36 percent.

The value of foreign trade operations between Azerbaijan and Israel from January through October 2020 made up $433.7 million, which is almost 2.8 times less compared to the same period of 2019.

Thus, the balance of foreign trade turnover between the two countries for the reporting period, remaining positive, amounted to $388.05 million.

Meanwhile, the foreign trade turnover of Azerbaijan made up over $21 billion, which is 25.7 percent less compared to the same period of last year.
