Turkmenistan applying digital solutions to State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange

Turkmenistan continues to implement the digital system in the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange, said Chairman of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan Begench Charyev, Trend reports with reference to Turkmenistan’s State News Agency.

Charyev made this remark during a working meeting of the country.

He noted that the process continues in order to implement Turkmenistan's "Strategy for improvement of work of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange for 2020-2025".

The relevant work is continuing on the organization and conduct of exchange trading, the introduction of effective methods of pricing goods, determining the feasibility of concluded export-import contracts, he said.

As it was reported earlier, Turkmenistan’s exchange will be transformed into an open joint-stock company. The changes are also being introduced in order to implement the "Strategy for improvement of work of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange for 2020-2025".

The main activity of the exchange is the export of products produced within the country, in this connection, exporting enterprises with a certain share participation are considered as shareholders.

The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange held 257 trading sessions and signed 26, 830 contracts in 11 months since the beginning of the year.

Thus, overall the total volume of trade turnover has increased by 6 percent from January through November 2020, compared to the same period last year, according to the Ministry of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations of Turkmenistan.
