Iranian major tire manufacturers produced 175,650 tons of tires from the beginning of the current Iranian year (started on March 20) to the end of November, which is a growth of 22 percent compared to same period last year, Trend reports via IRNA.
According to the report, by the end of November, 104,025 tons of passenger car tires, 16,135 tons of van tires and 36,305 tons of bus tires were produced in the country during the first 8 months of the current Iranian year.
During the mentioned period, the production of agricultural truck tires grew by 72 percent.
By the end of November, 12,346 tons of bicycle and motorcycle tires were produced in the country, which shows a growth of 35 percent in comparison with last year.
Some 7,043 tons of tubes (equivalent to 10.341 million rings) have been produced in the country during the first 8 months of the current Iranian year, which is a 38-percent growth compared to the same period last year.
According to IRNA, domestic companies have so far set a good record in the production of various types of tires, especially passenger car tires, despite sanctions, and its production figures are expected to exceed 20 million by the end of the Iranian year(ends on March 21, 2021).
