Amount of expenses on enterprises in Iran's Markazi Province increases

The amount of expenses on the launch of enterprises in the Iran’s Markazi Province increased by 137 percent since the beginning of the current Iranian year (March 20, 2020) to date on December 16, compared to the same period of the last Iranian year, Chairman of Industry, Mine and Trade Organization of Markazi Province Saeed Jafari said, Trend reports citing the organization’s website.

According to the chairman, 188 trillion rials (about $435 million) was spent on the launch of 218 enterprises in the Markazi Province over the reporting period.

Jafari added that 2,630 people were employed with the launch of these enterprises in Markazi Province within the same period and employment increased by 33 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year.

“In addition, the licenses were issued for establishment of 513 enterprises in the Markazi Province during the reporting period. A total of 79 trillion rials (about $1.88 billion) will be spent on the construction of these enterprises and about 11,000 people will be employed after the launch of the enterprises,” he said.

In general, 4,560 industrial enterprises were put into operation in Iran during the first 8 months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through November 20, 2020). A total of 1.36 trillion rials (about $32.5 billion) was spent on these enterprises. About 86,600 people were employed with the launch of these enterprises.
