Georgian face masks exported to Netherlands and Germany

The face masks made in Georgia are exported to the Netherlands and Germany, Trend reports via Georgian media.

The founder of the factory founded in the period of the pandemic, Sergo Galustiani noted, that at the initial stage, 100,000 face masks were exported to Europe, and currently preparation is underway to launch the second lot.

"Our partner company already took reservations in Germany and the Netherlands. This was a testing regime, we are waiting for the new order next week. We produce 12 million face masks a month, which is absolutely enough for the market of Georgia. This is the maximum, which Georgian market can adapt to," he noted.

According to him, the company supplies every major company and pharmacy chain with production.

"Currently, we employ up to 40 people, and because of increased productivity, we added 12 employees," he said.

Georgia has reported 2,635 new cases, 2,244 recoveries, and 49 deaths in the past 24 hours.

The new 2,635 cases were recorded in: Tbilisi - 1,134 cases, Adjara - 230 cases, Imereti - 338 cases, Kvemo Kartli - 216 cases, Shida Kartli - 169 cases, Guria - 66 cases, Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti - 199 cases, Kakheti - 186 cases, Mtskheta-Mtianeti - 46 cases, Samtskhe-Javakheti - 39 cases, Kvemo Svaneti - 12 cases.

Georgia has had 204,003 cases of coronavirus since February.
