Azerbaijan's foreign trade balance remains positive

Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover amounted to $22.7 billion from January through November 2020, which is by 25.8 percent less than in the same period of 2019, Trend reports citing the monthly report of the Azerbaijani State Customs Committee.

Some $13.06 billion accounted for export in the structure of foreign trade turnover, which amounted to a 28.6 percent decline in export on an annual basis. The share of export for the year decreased by 2.2 percentage points up to 57.42 percent of the total volume of foreign trade turnover.

The import of goods to Azerbaijan from January through November 2020 amounted to $9.7 billion, decreasing by 21.8 percent compared to the same period of last year. The share of import in the total volume of trade turnover increased by 2.2 percentage points up to 42.58 percent of the total volume.

The balance of foreign trade turnover on an annual basis decreased by 42.9 percent, but nevertheless remained positive, amounting to $3.4 billion.
