Slovak-Russian-Uzbek JV organizes production of equipment for artificial respiration

The joint Slovak-Russian-Uzbek venture Chirana Asia has organized the production of equipment for artificial respiration, Trend reports referring to the information service of the Ministry of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction of Uzbekistan.

The Information Service of the Ministry of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction of Uzbekistan has published general information on cooperation in the field of pharmaceuticals with the CIS countries.

According to the information, the Agency for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry in 2019-2020 signed 21 memorandums and agreements on cooperation with public and private enterprises of the Commonwealth of Independent States.

In particular, an agreement was signed with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan and the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Tajikistan, which opened a new market for Uzbek exports. It solves the time, money, and other problems associated with the delivery of products of Uzbek pharmaceutical companies due to the long registration period (180 calendar days) in Tajikistan.

It was noted that the signed agreement created new opportunities for expanding the export of more than 15 medicines from Uzbek pharmaceutical companies - Baxtteks-Farm LLC, Dentafil Plyus, and Uzgermed-Pharm.

At present, Kazakhstan in cooperation with Dentafil Plyus LLC with the administration of the industrial-economic zone of Shymkent is organizing the production of medicines and medical devices in in-bulk form. A land plot has been allocated for construction and preparations for communication are underway.

Agency specialists and local manufacturers organized the participation of local pharmaceutical companies and demonstration of national products at the exhibition “Made in Uzbekistan” on December 1-2 in Kazan, where a number of export agreements were concluded with Russian enterprises.

Three investment projects in the pharmaceutical field have been successfully implemented with Belarus. In particular, the production of dialysis lines and dialyzers in cooperation with FreBor Belarusian company, antiseptics and disinfectants in cooperation with BelAseptika CJSC, medical equipment in cooperation with Belintelmed and Cardian.

It was also noted that work is underway to launch a line for the production of carbapenems in Tashkent jointly with the Belarusian JV Belpharm LLC.

According to the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan, Uzbekistan increased the export of pharmaceutical products by 2.6 times up to $21.7 million for eleven months of 2020.
