Share of concluded transactions via e-procurement increases in Uzbekistan

The largest number of electronic government procurement in Uzbekistan was made in the healthcare sector worth 469.8 billion soums ($44.8 million), Trend reports referring to the press service of Uzbek Republican Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange.

The Healthcare sector is followed by the systems of higher and secondary specialized education and public education amounting to 155.6 ($14.9 million) and 144.8 billion soums ($13.8 million), respectively.

More than 753,000 transactions for a total amount of 4252.7 billion soums ($406 million) have been concluded on the special information portal of public procurement www.xarid.uz since the beginning of 2020.

The share of concluded transactions increased in quantitative terms by 7.1 percent, in total by 11.9 percent, compared to the same period last year.

According to the results of electronic tenders for public procurement, the savings of budgetary and corporate customers increased by 13.4 percent compared to 2019 and amounted to 913.7 billion soums ($87.3 million).

A significant volume of transactions was concluded in an electronic auction (65.1 percent) and an electronic store (23 percent). The share of new electronic trading systems introduced by the exchange in 2020, including Milliy do'kon and etender.uzex.uz electronic contests and tenders, amounted to 8.8 percent and 3.1 percent, respectively.

At the same time, 58.4 percent of electronic government procurement fell on the share of budget customers, and 41.6 percent - on corporate customers.

Large deals on public procurement in the context of regions were concluded in Tashkent city and Tashkent region (43.9 percent), Navoi (8.6 percent), Samarkand (6.6 percent), and Kashkadarya regions (6.1 percent).

The Uzbek Republican Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange has been the operator of a special information portal for public procurement www.xarid.uz since 2018. The portal contains all information on public procurement, including the results of public procurement, and also conducts online tenders for them.
