Turkmen company shares data on annual production of flour

Turkmenistan's Altyn sähra company produced 24,374 tons of flour of the highest, first and second grades, 7,405 tons of bran, 661 tons of bread and bakery products in 2020, Trend reports with reference to “Turkmenistan”: Zolotoy Vek”(Turkmenistan: Golden Age) electronic newspaper.

The above-mentioned volume in monetary terms amounted to 20.1 million Turkmen manat ($5.7 million).

On the basis of the production complex, there are four elevators, in which a total of 112 tons of food wheat are stored.

The company produces 50-55 tons of flour of three varieties, as well as 20 tons of bran every day.

Earlier, a long-term memorandum of understanding was signed between Turkmenistan and UNICEF, on the basis of which Premiks, consisting of a mixture of folic acid and iron sulfate, is currently added to wheat flour produced in Turkmenistan.

Turkmenistan also imports flour.

Thus, the export of wheat flour from the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) to Turkmenistan increased by 15.6 percent from January through October 2020, compared to the same period year earlier.

In general, for 10 months of the year, more than 31,000 tons of wheat flour were exported to Turkmenistan from Kazakhstan and Russia for a total amount of more than $10.4 million. This is 35.6 percent more than the number of wheat flour exports for the same period a year earlier.
