Trend:

Iranian government is expected to amend budget bill for the new Iranian year (starts March 21,2021 ) on the coming Sunday, said Iran Minister of Economic Affairs and Finances Farhad Dejpasand, Trend reports citing IRNA.

"The members of the parliament have opposed to the Integration Budget Commission's report about general budget for the new Iranian year, therefore the budget bill has returned to the government," said Dejpasand.

The parliament's Integration Budget Commission has objected to the government's suggested predictions on volume of oil export, official foreign currency rate and increase of tax revenues.

Dejpasand reminded that Iran's oil export revenues in the current Iranian year (started March 20,2020) stood at $1.9 billion," he said.

"The country's construction budget in the current Iranian year (started March 20,2020) was $19 billion and so far $14 billion from this figure has been paid," Dejpasand said.

"Iran's economic growth from the start of the current Iranian year (started March 20,2020) until now was positive, while many businesses and production were damaged due to COVID-19 in many countries in the world," he said.

"Iran's unemployment rate was in single digits, despite the coronavirus spread," he said.
