The activities of 20 manufacturing enterprises were restored in the Semnan Province (northern Iran) during the first 10 months of the current Iranian year (March 20, 2020, through January 20, 2021), Chairman of the Semnan Province Industrial Parks Organization Hassan Al Bouyeh said, Trend reports citing the organization’s website.

According to Al Bouyeh, 680 people were provided with jobs with the restoration of the activities of these enterprises. The restoration of industrial and manufacturing enterprises plays an important role in increasing employment in the province.

The chairman noted that that work is underway in the province to eliminate manufacturing barriers and problems of manufacturing enterprises (working capital, lack of raw materials, lack of funding, etc.).

“In addition, the licenses were issued to 4 enterprises in the industrial parks of the province for startup activities,” he added.

There are 18 industrial parks in Iran's Semnan Province. These industrial parks are located in about 6,880 hectares of land. About 90 percent of the manufacturing enterprises in the industrial parks are small industries, 6 percent - medium-sized industries, and the rest - large industries.
