By Tamilla Mammadova – Trend:

Turkish Ambassador to Georgia Fatma Jeren Yazgan advises Turkish businesses to create long-term business in Georgia and be long-term investors, Trend reports via Georgian media.

According to her, it would be better if Turkish investors in Georgia are long-term trading partners, whose goal is to create joint ventures and enter third markets.

Speaking about the business environment in Georgia, the Turkish diplomat noted that there are several problems that Turkey needs to work on together with the Georgian government and the business sector.

According to ambassador, this refers to the need for greater confidence in Turkish financial institutions.

“They have more potential to work here, but this is not happening yet. Another issue is the development of a regional strategy for individual sectors, for example, logistics. Georgia has the opportunity to become more of a transit - trade hub. This requires a joint strategy. It will be a win-win solution for both sides,” the ambassador said.
