Azerbaijan’s Azersu OJSC and AZERMECH LLC signed a contract worth over 3.5 million manat ($2.06 million), Trend reports referring to the ‘Electronic Procurement’ portal.

According to the portal, the winner of the tender announced by Azersu for the purchase of drainage and hydrophore pumps has been determined.

“By the decision of the tender commission, AZERMECH was chosen as the tender's winner,” added the portal.

Azersu OJSC is an organization that supplies centralized drinking water and renders the services related to the sewerage system. The company takes the necessary measures to extract water from sources, purifies, transports, and sells it. It also takes the necessary steps to treat the wastewater.

The company is engaged in the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of water intake facilities, reservoirs, pumping stations, water pipes, and sewers.

Azersu OJSC manages 20,000 kilometers of water pipelines, 5,000 kilometers of sewerage, and rainwater pipelines.

Currently, the projects are being implemented to reconstruct water supply and sewerage systems in the Azerbaijani urban and rural areas. The projects are financed through state funds and loans from international financial organizations.
