Kazakhstan's major copper company reveals its 2021 production guidance

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Feb. 25

Kazakhstan’s KAZ Minerals company expects that its 2021 copper output will amount to 275,000-295,000 tons in 2021, Trend reports citing the company’s report.

The company expects that the copper output distribution will be as follows: 115,000-125,000 tons to be extracted at Aktogay mine, 110,000-120,000 tons at Bozshakol mine, and around 50,000 tons at East Region & Bozymchak mine.

Furthermore, the company expects its gold production to be 160,000-180,000 tons in 2021, including 120,000-130-000 tons extracted at Bozshakol mine, and 40,000-50,000 tons at East Region & Bozymchak.

Silver production of the company is expected to be around 2.8 million ounces, including 400,000 ounces at Aktogay, 800,000 ounces at Bozshakol, and 1.6 million ounces at East Region & Bozymchak.

Lastly, company’s zinc production is expected to equal around 40,000 tons, the entirety of which is to account for East Region & Bozymchak.
