Iran issues licenses for establishment of enterprises in Golestan Province

As many as 508 industrial enterprises were licensed for establishment in the Golestan Province (northeastern Iran) in the last Iranian year (from March 20, 2020, through March 20, 2021), Chairman of Industry, Mine, and Trade Organization of Golestan Province Hossein Toluian said, Trend reports referring to the Tasnim news agency.

According to him, 53.4 trillion rials (about $1.27 billion) are to be invested in the establishment of these enterprises and 9,770 people are to be employed in the enterprises.

Toluian added that while in the preceding Iranian year (from March 21, 2019, through March 19, 2020), a total of 384 industrial enterprises were licensed for establishment. So, 31.9 trillion rials (about $759 million) were to be invested in these enterprises in the preceding Iranian year. At the same time, 7,530 people were to be employed in the preceding year.

“Furthermore, the licenses were issued to the launch of 199 enterprises in the Golestan Province last Iranian year. A total of 11.7 trillion rials (about $279 million) was spent on these enterprises and 2,460 people were employed last Iranian year. This is an increase of 43.2 percent in terms of number, 29.4 percent in terms of expenses, and 21 percent in terms of employment compared to the preceding Iranian year,” he said.

The chairman emphasized that so, 139 enterprises were licensed for launch in the province in the preceding Iranian year. About 9.06 trillion rials (about $215 million) were spent on these enterprises and 2,030 people were employed in the preceding year.
