Iran declares data on methanol exports

Iran exported 7.69 million tons of methanol worth $1.17 billion in the last Iranian year (from March 20, 2020, through March 20, 2021), Trend reports citing the statistics of the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA).

According to the statistics, Iran's methanol exports increased by 5.51 percent in terms of value and 25.9 percent in terms of volume compared to the preceding Iranian year (from March 21, 2019, through March 19, 2020).

“So, Iran's methanol exports amounted to 6.1 million tons worth $1.11 billion in the preceding year,” the statistics said.

The methanol exports accounted for 6.1 percent of Iran's total exports in terms of value and 3.36 percent in terms of volume in the last Iranian year, the statistics said.

As reported, 10 products worth $13.7 billion accounted for 39 percent of Iran's total exports worth about $35 billion over last Iranian year.

Reportedly, Iran's total foreign trade turnover amounted to about 146 million tons worth $73 billion in the last Iranian year. During this period, Iran exported 112 million tons of goods worth about $35 billion and imported 33.4 million tons worth $38.4 billion.
